Medicare Insurance

Wellcovered Insurance is an independent, licensed agency in Orange City that helps Floridians compare Medicare options: Medicare Supplement (Medigap), Medicare Advantage, and Part D drug plans. We explain how each option works, check your doctors and prescriptions, and help you enroll if you choose to. You can also review every plan in your area at Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.

Wellcovered Insurance is an independent insurance agency located at 301 N Volusia Ave, Orange City, FL 32763. We are not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program.

Your Medicare choices at a glance

When you first get Medicare, you generally choose between two paths:

  • Original Medicare (Parts A and B), run by the federal government. Many people add a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) policy to help with out-of-pocket costs and a separate Part D drug plan.
  • Medicare Advantage (Part C), offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. These plans include Part A and Part B coverage and often include drug coverage.

Each path has trade-offs in monthly premium, out-of-pocket costs, doctor networks, and travel coverage. (Source: Medicare.gov, Parts of Medicare)

Who we help

  • People turning 65 and enrolling for the first time
  • People leaving an employer or spouse’s group plan
  • People under 65 who qualify for Medicare because of a disability or certain conditions
  • Current Medicare members reviewing their coverage each fall

Key Medicare enrollment dates

  • Initial Enrollment Period: the 7-month window around when you first become eligible.
  • Open Enrollment (October 15 – December 7): join, switch, or drop a Medicare Advantage or Part D plan. Coverage starts January 1.
  • Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment (January 1 – March 31): if you are already in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can make one change.
  • Special Enrollment Periods: certain life events, such as moving or losing employer coverage, can open a window to change plans.

How we work

  1. Review: we ask about your doctors, prescriptions, budget, and travel.
  2. Compare: we show options from the companies we represent and explain the trade-offs.
  3. Decide: you choose. There is no obligation to enroll.
  4. Annual check-in: plans change every year, so we offer a review before each Open Enrollment.
